At Marion Cross Elementary School in Norwich

The Child Care Center in Norwich After School Program serves children in kindergarten through 6th grade and is located in two classrooms one at St. Barnabas Church to the east of the Marion Cross School and one at the Norwich Congregational Church to the west of the school. The program runs on the Norwich school calendar. The curriculum in the After School Program is designed to provide a balance in each child’s day. After school, children need some free choice time to balance the structure of their school day. They also need a balance between active and quiet activities. School-age children need an age appropriate balance between close supervision and independence.

Teachers plan daily activities that are age appropriate yet reflective of the individual needs, interests, and developmental level of each child. Their afternoon will include opportunities for rigorous outdoor activity, a healthy snack, a quiet homework time and, as needed, support and supervision to attend after-school events.

Please complete the After School Enrollment Form (Word Doc) and email it to us if you would like your child/children to join the program.
